Johanah Napoleon, affectionately known as “Ms. Jay,” recently brightened the lives of children by donating toys and essential art supplies to two local charity homes as part of her “Xmas For All Kids” outreach. The donation, which benefited SOS Children’s Village in Isolo and Open Arms of Mercy Orphanage Home, was designed to inspire children to explore art as a hobby and embrace it as a creative and therapeutic outlet. Among the donated items were a variety of children’s toys, sketchbooks, pencils, pens, charcoal sticks, crayons, sharpeners, charcoal pencils, erasers, and paints. Additionally, Johanah spent quality time with the children, encouraging their creativity and engagement.

A certified wellness and healthcare practitioner, Johanah Napoleon is committed to leveraging her expertise to support the less privileged and vulnerable. “Charity and philanthropy are powerful tools for fostering brotherhood and building lasting bonds in society,” she noted. “I love giving, and I’ve always believed that small acts of kindness can have a more profound impact than a thousand prayers.” Through her foundation, Johanah hopes this donation will offer children a positive and engaging pastime, steering them away from the risks of gang affiliation.

Johanah spoke candidly about her own life experiences. She reflected on the role that small acts of generosity played in shaping her journey, noting how exposure to music and arts brought her happiness during her childhood. “As a child, I was happiest around music and the arts,” she shared. “I hope this donation will offer these children a similar source of joy and stability.”

Despite the ongoing economic challenges, particularly in Nigeria, Johanah is resolute in her desire to make the “Xmas For All Kids” outreach an annual tradition, committed to spreading joy and opportunity each year.

Founded four years ago, the Johanah Napoleon Foundation has a history of supporting education and community development. The foundation has donated books and school supplies to schools in Haiti and has covered tuition fees for up to 300 children in the country. In 2023, the foundation also contributed to the construction of the Ouanaminthe canal in Haiti, reflecting its dedication to sustainable development and educational empowerment.
