‘Tell them how you feel, Joaquin,’ Lady Gaga, 38, said to her costar as she held out a fake microphone
in front of him.
‘It’s so hard to talk about but I think we feel like
we achieved what we set out to do,’ Joaquin, 49, simply stated.
Someone on X, formerly Twitter, posted the moment online last week and
it went viral, gaining more then 437,000 views in a matter of days – and many users took their initial silence as proof that they ‘didn’t like’ the film.
The internet has been flooded with negative posts about the
flick ever since it premiered, with one user branding
it as a ‘bore’ and another claiming it had ‘no plot.’
Many social media users have also slammed the movie’s final
scene, which saw main character Arthur Fleck (portrayed by Joaquin) brutally stabbed to death by a fellow inmate.
This meant that the man that audiences had been watching over the course of the two movies was never the Joker at all, but in fact, the infamous villain from the Batman series was really just the random inmate who killed Arthur in the last moments of the film.
The shocking twist left numerous viewers unsatisfied,
and they took to social media to share their frustration.
While chatting with Good Morning Britain last week, the two
stars were asked if the movie turned out to
be ‘everything they expected’
Immediately, they both turned to look at one another and smiled. For

‘That ending? It’s so bad that not only it ruins Joker 2 but
also the first Joker for the audience,’ read a fourth tweet.
‘The Joker had so much potential but that f**king ending ruined everything,’ a fifth said.
The Todd Phillips-directed musical serves as a follow-up to the 2019 box office hit, which was simply titled Joker.
The first film grossed over $1 billion and at the
time was the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time.
It received 11 Oscar nominations – two of which it won.
The sequel, however, has already been much less successful.
It had a lackluster $40 million debut at the box office
in its first weekend, and has a low rating of 33 percent and 31 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
‘Undoing much of the goodwill from its predecessor, the sequel convolutes what could have
been a unique character study into a bloated encore that
goes out with a whimper,’ reads one review.
Another critic wrote, ‘This movie is a disjointed mess
and a waste of time. It’s just tired, not particularly interesting, but it
does look good from a production design standpoint.’

March 24 (Reuters) – Marlboro maker Philip Morris International Inc is working on options to exit
the Russian market, citing a complex and rapidly changing regulatory and operating environment in the country
following its invasion of Ukraine.
The company, which garnered around 6% its net revenue from
Russia in 2021, said on Thursday it has discontinued
sale of several cigarette products and canceled all product launches for the year in Russia.

Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are asking voter to choose between an immigration crackdown and reproductive rights
As their race for the US presidency comes down to the wire,
each major candidate has leaned heavily on a favorite theme — abortion rights for Democrat Kamala Harris and border
security for Republican Donald Trump.
In Arizona, their ideological duel has reached a white-hot peak, with both topics the subject of fiercely debated
ballot referendums.
And in this key southwestern state — where the billionaire Trump lost to
President Joe Biden in 2020 by a tiny margin of about 10,500
votes — every ballot truly will count.
In the mid-sized city of Tucson, hundreds of volunteers in orange T-shirts were going door-to-door
to try to persuade voters to back a ballot measure to inscribe abortion rights in the state constitution — and, while
they’re at it, to vote for Vice President Harris.
To Grace Ireland, a 26-year-old activist, the abortion restrictions imposed by several Republican-controlled states amount to “a public health crisis that Donald Trump and the Republicans have created.”
She added, “Democrats and Kamala Harris are trying to push us forward and protect women’s health care and protect our democracy and protect all people.”

Since 2022, when the US Supreme Court ended the constitutional
protection of federal abortion rights, Ireland, a registered nurse,
has worked in several states where abortion is banned or severely limited.
Those restrictions have had sometimes disastrous consequences for women having problem pregnancies or
carrying nonviable fetuses when doctors refuse to treat them.
“Women are going septic and dying because they cannot receive the care that they need,” she told AFP.
– ‘Abortion is murder’ –
As Ireland carries her message to potential voters, she noted,
particularly to young people who may be less likely to vote, that
it was Donald Trump who appointed the three justices who tipped
the Supreme Court against abortion rights.

“It’s important to reiterate that Donald Trump and these abortion bans are one and the same,” Ireland said.
But in Tucson there is little unanimity among young voters.
“I do think that abortion is murder,” said Pedro Lopez,
a 20-year-old college student.
“There are cases of incest or rape” that merit exceptions, he conceded, “but that’s very small.”
He also worries about the flow of undocumented migrants that have entered the country from Mexico during the
Biden-Harris administration.
“People that are entering the United States illegally… should be sent back to where they came from,” he said.
“My grandparents migrated from Mexico to the United States, and they did it the right way.”
So he plans not only to vote for Trump, but to back the proposal to let local law enforcement detain,
arrest and prosecute anyone suspected of having entered the country
illegally — powers normally reserved to the border police who work for the federal government.
“I know people that work for the Border Patrol, and they’re really upset because this current administration has really tied their hands up. They’re not really able to do anything,” Lopez said.
– Mixed impact –
The major political parties see the competing referendums as offering an opportunity to mobilize
more people to vote — on ballot questions at the very heart of the two
presidential campaigns.

But the referendums may not have the clear impact on the race for
the White House that activists hope.
Polls show Trump and Harris running neck-and-neck in Arizona, with the Republican holding a very narrow
lead.
Both ballot questions, meantime, have drawn strong support and both appear likely to pass.
So the abortion issue may not be “helping Democrats in the way that they would hope,” said Jenny Brian,
a professor of bioethics at Arizona State University.
Many Republican women will vote both to protect abortion rights and to bring Trump back to
the White House, Brian said.
Though abortion is sometimes framed as a Democrat vs. Republican issue, the Republican Party includes “a broad spectrum of views on the topic,” an issue that also raises conservatives’ concerns about “government interference,”
she added.
The same dynamic applies to immigration, with the tougher language on the Arizona ballot question finding
support not just among Trump Republicans but also “moderates and even many Democrats,” said John Kavanagh, a
Republican and an Arizona state senator.
The 74-year-old Kavanagh is unimpressed by Harris’s recent toughening on migration, specifically her promise to maintain the partial closing of the border Biden ordered in recent months.
The vice president, Kavanagh said, is “running away faster from her open-border policy than an illegal immigrant that runs away from the Border Patrol.”

to work a seven- day rotating roster.
The claims Albanese received 22 upgrades from economy when booking Qantas flight by personally requesting them from Mr Joyce are
made in a new book The Chairman’s Lounge by former Australian Financial
Review columnist Joe Aston.

The cost for one of London’s most pricey apartments will begin at £35million – with 600
megarich customers already securing a spot on the waiting
list.
Pricing details of billionaire John Caudwell’s spectacular 1 Mayfair development have now been revealed and only those with the deepest pockets can hope to afford one of the
lavish pads.
The cheapest apartment on offer is expected to be an eye-watering £35million –
around 70 times the average cost of a house in the capital.
Due to complete in Spring 2026 the scheme will easily
surpass London’s previous record breaker, the £1.3billion One Hyde Park development in Knightsbridge.
Caudwell told The Standard that there are already more than 600 prospective buyers on a waiting list of billionaires and centi-millionaires who have expressed an interest in making a
purchase at the scheme.
There will be just 24 ‘principal residences’ in the
property including lateral apartments, penthouses and
townhouses with up to five bedrooms, and five more smaller ‘pieds-à-terre’ apartments.
The size of the homes has not yet been disclosed but the developers say even the most modest property will start with
a guide price exceeded by only a handful of mansions in London’s richest
neighbourhoods.
The average price of all 29 units – which cover 300,000 sq ft – will be close to £70million.

– attended the topping out of 1 Mayfair alongside senior members of the construction team.
The ceremony was marked by the final steel rafter, one of 79 at roof level, being put into
place on the top of the nine-storey main apartment building.
No expense has been spared on the building’s interior and it will feature a ceiling with hand-painted frescos based on Michelangelo’s Map of the Heavens in the Vatican, a
reception room with a double height ceiling and 18ft high French windows overlooking
the garden.
There will also be a Palace of Versailles Hall of Mirrors-style crystal callery, created from over 1,264 hand-set pieces of
