    Lady Gaga released the dark music video for her new single Disease on Wednesday as she makes her grand return to
    music. 

    The singer – a 13-time Grammy Award-winner – has delighted fans with the first single from her forthcoming album LG7 which is due in February 2025.

    Releasing a double feature of music videos she also unveiled the video for Die With A Smile (Live in Las Vegas).

    The disturbing video for Disease sees her fighting with different versions of herself and chained up in a darkened room. 

    The video begins with the star seemingly the victim of a car crash
    as she lies bloody  on the bonnet of a car.

    The next scene then cuts to her chained up in the dark wearing white underwear and covered in scars as
    she stands on top of yet another version of herself. 

    She then wraps her legs around the other Lady Gaga to try and strangle her as the tension intensifies. 

    The scary leather clad character from earlier is then seen vomiting black
    liquid next to another Lady Gaga who is lying on the crown.

    She is then seen trying to escape the chaos as she gets trapped between two closing walls that eventually crush her to death. 

    It comes as Lady Gaga, 38, revealed she was ‘overwhelmed’ by her Little Monsters’ reaction to her latest tune Disease.

    The pop superstar said she feels ‘insane joy’ about her fandom’s response to her electro-pop banger – and teased that there is ‘a LOT more to come’.

    Joker: Folie À Deux director Todd Phillips ‘wanted nothing to do with DC’
    during making of the $200million flop film, a new report has claimed.

    The hotly-anticipated sequel to the 2019 billion dollar Oscar-winning film – stars
    Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga and was considered a surefire hit for Warner Bros Pictures – but was slammed
    by critics and failed to ignite at the box office.

    The sequel has been roundly criticized for being a musical and ‘ignoring’ the DC fanbase – with an agent familiar with Phillips’ process telling Variety he ‘wanted nothing
    to do with DC’ during the making of the film, with DC bosses James Gunn and
    Peter Safran notably absent from the film’s LA premiere afterparty last month.

    A source said: ‘If the first movie was about some down-on-his-luck, mentally ill guy
    in a downtrodden city, it makes maybe $150 [million] worldwide.

    Not a billion. People showed up because that guy was
    Joker.’

    In an apparent snub by Phillips, the opening sequence of the film does not include a
    DC Studios logo.

    On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie currently holds
    an audience score of 31% and a critic score of 32%

    A Warner spokesman added that a DC logo appears at the end of
    the Joker sequel. while Phillips declined to comment to the publication. 

    Several frictions are said to have developed
    between Phillips, DC and Warner- with claims that Michael DeLuca, Chairperson of Warner Bros.

    Entertainment, and CEO Pamela Abdy seemed ‘unwilling’
    to say no to Phillips due to his huge past successes.

    It is claimed Phillips would ‘only’ speak with DeLuca and Abdy rather than Gunn and Safran – who took control
    of DC two months before production began on Joker 2 in December 2022.

    Gunn and Safran did attend the first director’s
    cut screening for the studio but Phillips fueled rift speculation when he told a reporter: ‘With
    all due respect to them, this is kind of a Warner Bros.
    movie.’

    Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav also met with Phillips  shortly
    after WarnerMedia and Discovery merged in April 2022
    and was ‘open to filming in Los Angeles if the director
    would make the sequel at a lower price point.’

    The studio wanted to film in London which would have
    cost around 20 per cent less.

    However, Phillips insisted on filming in LA with the budget remaining static. 

    The sequel has been roundly criticized for being a musical and
    ‘ignoring’ the DC fanbase – with an agent familiar
    with Phillips’ process telling Variety he ‘wanted
    nothing to do with DC’ during the making of the
    film, with DC bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran notably absent

     A Warner spokesman told the publication the studio ‘supported the decision to film in Los Angeles’.

    A source directly involved with the film said: ‘No one could get through to Todd.
    And the one thing about genre stuff: If you don’t listen and pay attention to what the fan expectations are, you’re
    going to fail.

    Insiders also claim studio bosses did not want to premiere the film at the Venice Film
    Festival, but Phillips pushed back – with a Warner spokesman saying the
    studio ‘fully supported the decision to bring
    the film to Venice.

    Joker: Folie À Deux has garnered the lowest CinemaScore in comic book movie history as the film bombed at the box office on opening night. 

    It has only made $114million worldwide against its $200million budget. 

    The psychological musical thriller — which has been criticized as ‘bleak’ and ‘disappointing’ — officially released in theaters on Friday, October 4, but it
    only raked in $20 million at the domestic box office, per The Hollywood
    Reporter. 

    Phoenix reprised his role as the Joker in the sequel, which had earned him an Oscar for his portrayal in the 2019
    film, while Gaga took on the role of Harleen Lee Quinzel (Harley Quinn). 

    However, Joker: Folie À Deux has been given a D rating on CinemaScore — the lowest score for a comic book movie. 

    Madame Web — which notably also flopped in theaters earlier this year and
    also received terrible reviews — holds a higher score with a C+.

    On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie currently holds an audience
    score of 31% and a critic score of 32%. 

    The sequel is projected to rake in less that $50 million at the domestic box office during the entirety of opening weekend, per
    The Hollywood Reporter. 

    Weeks ago, the movie had been projected to bring in around $70 million – but the number has since drastically dropped. 

    Joker (2019) notably opened with $96.2 million when the film
    first released in theaters – and eventually landed a little over
    $1 billion in the global box office. 

    The first movie – which was also directed by Todd Phillips – had a budget of between $55 and $70 million. However, the
    budget increased for Folie À Deux to around $200 million. 

    The 2019 movie garnered praise and positive reviews from both critics and audiences – and
    won the Golden Lion during the 76th Venice International Film Festival. 

    Joaquin received an Oscar for Best Actor for his portrayal of the Joker (Arthur Fleck) – and the film garnered an additional Academy Award for Best Original
    Score. 

    The sequel also screened during the Venice International Film Festival last month
    in September, where it earned a 12-minute standing ovation, per
    Deadline.   

    A source directly involved with the film said: ‘No one could get

    Ahead of the movie’s release, Lady Gaga also dropped
    an accompanying album titled Harlequin on September 27.

    Daily Mail’s Brian Viner commended the move as ‘bold’ and ‘brilliant’ but said it lacked any thrill. 

    The Independent’s Geoffrey Macnab said: ‘Today Joker is best remembered as one of the most subversive and original films of the last decade,
    while its hugely anticipated sequel is just as bleak and formally daring as its predecessor’.

    Meanwhile, the Irish Times’ Donald Clarke gave the movie just two stars but credited
    Phillips’ work for making a sequel following the first movie’s $1billion success.

    Financial Times critic Danny Leigh said although Gaga worked hard to
    bump the ratings up in the sequel, Phillips appeared
    to have no idea what to do with her. 

    Giving a three star rating, The Guardian’s Peter Bradshaw claimed the
    movie proves ‘claustrophobic’ and ‘repetitive.’

    Joker: Folie à Deux has faced additional backlash from fans

    July 23 (Reuters) – Philip Morris International pushed the test-launch of its
    heated tobacco device, IQOS, in the U.S. to the fourth quarter on Tuesday and lowered its annual forecast for the heated tobacco business.

    The pilot was earlier scheduled to run in Austin, Texas, in the second quarter, for which the company reported results on the day.

    The company declined to comment on why the launch had been delayed.

    Philip Morris has invested billions to promote and expand its portfolio of
    alternatives to traditional combustible cigarettes amid stricter regulations and falling smoking rates in some markets.

    The launch of its flagship heated tobacco device in the United States is also facing resistance
    from health campaigners, who have written to regulators in the country accusing the
    company of misrepresenting past regulatory decisions, Reuters reported
    last week.

    The company also awaits market authorization from the U.S.
    Food and Drug Administration for its IQOS ILUMA device, which it expects by the
    second half of 2025.

    A ban on flavored heated tobacco in the European Union has already hit shipments this year,
    with Philip Morris saying the impact from the ban was “slightly greater” than previously assumed.

    This led the company to temper its expectations for volume growth in the heated tobacco category to around 13% for the full year, down from between 14%
    and 16% expected earlier.

    However, Philip Morris topped quarterly expectations and raised its annual sales and profit forecasts, betting on demand for its Zyn nicotine pouches, as

    LONDON, Sept 28 (Reuters) – Philip Morris International (PMI) on Thursday signalled a slower than anticipated U.S.
    roll out of its IQOS heated tobacco device, a choice analysts said was positive for its
    competitors in the short term.

    The New York-listed Marlboro maker also said it aims for more than two thirds of its net revenues to come from
    “smoke-free” products by 2030, up from 50% in 2025, as it tries
    to transform its image from a cigarette purveyor to a driver of
    the shift to healthier alternatives.

    Investors have been closely watching IQOS’ entry into the U.S.,
    the world’s largest market for nicotine products, and had been expecting it from May 2024 next year.
    Reuters reported on Wednesday that PMI is hiring lobbyists across a host of key
    U.S. states ahead of the launch.

    Chief Executive Jacek Olczak said IQOS would launch in four cities
    in two unnamed U.S. states from 2024, but a national launch would only come after PMI receives approval to sell the latest version, known as
    IQOS ILUMA.

    The company was planning to apply for approval in October and expected it from 2025, he continued.

    “We need to warm up the tyres,” he said of the initial launch,
    which would help PMI fine tune its approach.

    A national roll-out of ILUMA would follow but in phases, he continued, adding launching in 10 states in the
    first year would make sense.

    Meaningful traction for PMI’s heated tobacco products in the U.S.
    “now looks delayed until ILUMA,” Owen Bennett, equity analyst
    at Jefferies, said in a note, adding this was a
    positive for PMI’s rivals.

    Olczak also signalled that PMI’s push into non-nicotine products was no longer
    a priority. It recently scrapped an ambition for $1 billion in net revenues to come
    from sales of such products by 2025.

    Instead, PMI will focus its resources on IQOS and nicotine pouch brand ZYN, Olczak said, adding it had been too
    optimistic around acceptance of big tobacco companies operating outside of nicotine.

    PMI also announced updated medium-term targets including for revenue and earnings per share, and
    ambitious volume targets for IQOS and ZYN.

    ZYN and other oral nicotine products in the U.S. would help drive an expected $2 billion in revenues there in 2024, even before IQOS ILUMA, executives said.

    Even if you’re not a wine drinker, chances are you’ve heard of organic
    wine. But what is organic wine, and is it the same thing as natural wine?
    Is organic wine healthier to drink than regular wine?

    Is organic wine the same as natural wine?
    While the terms organic wine and natural wine are often thrown about in equal
    measure, they aren’t the same thing. In order for a liqueur to qualify as organic, the
    winemaker must adhere to a stringent set of rules and obtain certification as an organic liquor producer after a 3 year
    evaluation process. Once certification has been attained, organic winemakers are subjected to an inspection every 12 months to ensure that they are working within the designated ground rules.

    Where organic winemaking is concerned, no synthetic substances are permitted to be implemented in the cultivation of the grapevines or the harvesting of the grapes.
    The use of preservatives during fermentation are limited.
    It is important to note that some naturally grown liquors make use of thinning products that are
    sourced from animals. These thinning products are used to dissolve any
    excess solid compounds that are present in the wines.
    Unfortunately, organic winemakers are not forced to disclose whether or not animal-sourced products were used during the manufacturing process.
    The only way to be certain that the way does not contain animal-based additives is to purchase liqueur from
    a trusted vegan product dealer.

    Unlike organic wine, there are no predefined guidelines or compulsory certifications that
    are required to make natural wine. The winemaker decides the methods and parameters that are used to achieve natural
    liqueur. While they are free to decide the concentration of sulphur dioxide, many natural winemakers avoid adding it altogether.
    Natural wine is not required to be made using naturally grown grapes.
    The final outcome of natural wine is one that has only minor intervention or preservatives.

    When a customer sees an organic certification emblem displayed upon a liquor
    bottle, they can be confident that the liqueur they are buying
    is produced according to the rigorous regulations outlined by their
    respective wine growing regions.

    Does organic or natural wine taste the same as regular
    wine?
    When the grapevines from which the organically grown wine is
    produced are more wholesome and unpolluted than their regular wine counterparts, than it’s understandable that the liquor will also carry a superior taste.
    Those who drink organically grown wines note that they contain a greater spectrum of flavour, resulting
    in a more robust taste. In addition to having a richer flavour,
    drinkers of organic wines have also observed that the colours are more vivid and lively.

    Is there anything inherently bad with regular wine?
    Wines that are produced using traditional processes are perfectly
    fine. However, there are many winemakers and consumers alike that
    simply desire a liqueur that does not make use of toxic insecticides and other poisonous
    additives during the winemaking process. With the absence of synthetic
    toxins, the soil from which organic wines are produced is untainted,
    ensuring that the wine is as well. Furthermore,
    the grapevines of organic wines yield grapes that deliver stronger flavours, resulting in wines that possess a more sumptuous taste.

    How do you ensure you are buying a wine
    that is truly organic?
    It’s important for consumers to be aware that numerous
    winemakers brand their wines as organic, in an attempt to make a quick profit from the wholesome image
    that sustainably grown products enjoy. Organic
    wines are required to carry a certification logo,
    and in many countries the logo will contain a
    verification number. This number guarantees
    that the liquor you are purchasing is authorised to be packaged and
    sold as organic wine. If a product contains the word ‘organic’ in its name, without
    an accompanying industry label to verify its status as such, then it should not be considered
    organic.
