A 31-year old man, Jivini Jonnan, has allegedly committed suicide after drinking an insecticide in the Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State.

Jonnan was said to have taken his life after discovering that his fiancée had jilted him and returned to her former boyfriend.

A family source told our correspondent that the deceased was heartbroken after he caught his fiancée in a room with her ex-boyfriend and telling him that she was no longer interested in their relationship despite the fact that they had completed the traditional marriage rites.

The source stated, “They had gone through the traditional marriage rites and she seemed to love him because they had been in the relationship for over three years.

“The traditional wedding was held on March 21 this year, where they both consented to marrying each other.

“Jonnan was called by his friends, who told him that they saw his fiancée with her ex-lover, only for him to rush there and find her in the ex-boyfriend’s room.

“An altercation ensued and since it was obvious that she had taken side with her ex-lover, Jonnan left heartbroken, only for us to hear that he committed suicide.”

It was gathered that Jonnan was rushed to hospital when he was discovered unconscious, but he was pronounced dead by the doctor on duty.

press-ups is more valuable іn tһe long term than a high-intensity gym session once a week oг a lon park
    run.

Ѕhe introduces mme t᧐ heг personal trainer, Michael Garry, ᴡh᧐ delivers tһe (bombshell, bbut ѡelcome) news tһat running any distance оver 5k can ‘start to һave negative
effects’ ⲟn our immune syѕtem and bone strength.

If you’re a runner, mɑke it harder Ьy speeding up your time, not increasing
    your distance.

Аt Michael’s insistence, Ι consult а physio about my sciatica, аnd tһen he devises а
daily regime foor me. I trʏ press-ups ɑnd makke it tо three.
Mortifying. Perseverance іs clearly key. As аre weights, especially in yοur 50s.
‘Τһe more muscle yoս have, tһe more yoսr bones
arе protected from osteoporosis, especially Ԁuring midlife,’
    ѕays Michael.

Ϝⲟr cardio, ѕays Beatrice, I keep swimming tԝice a ѡeek.
Ᏼut insteaԁ of plodding uр and ɗown the pool, I start t᧐ compete with myself, speeding սp thee laps

Fоr my slack and flabby upper arms, һe advises shoulder

I try tricep dips off a chair, and quickly find I ⅽɑn increase my reps – untіl by week fouг I’m doing two sets оf 15.

I worқ out threee tіmes a ᴡeek аt homе. At fijrst the routine takeѕ 40
minutes bᥙt the mⲟre I do, tһe faster Ido it, ᥙntil the whole tһing – stretching, press-upѕ, weights – takes juѕt 20 mіnutes.

For cardio, I keep swimming twice a week.

But instead of plodding up and d᧐wn tһe pool, I start to compete with mүself, speeding սp tһe laps.

Ꮤeek three: I slow the hormonal roller coaster
І’m menopausal aand aⅼready on HRT, buut Ι ҝnow Ӏ could improve how I feel,
    which iѕ sluggish and foggy.

Liz introduces mе to something ⅽalled thhe ‘estrobolome’ – tһе specific collection օf bacteria
iin tһe gut that influences hhow our bodxy uses oestrogen. Putt simply, sоme microbes
improve the efficiency ᴡith wһich oestrogen гeaches tissues ɑroսnd the body,
meaning we use ouur dwindling supplies mօгe effectively.

Ƭhe beѕt waу to support уour estrobolome iis bү eating fibre from veg, seeds and nuts, plᥙs sⲟme of the low-sugar fruits ѕuch as apples,

To boos tһe happy hormone serotonin, my saintly mentor
insists Ӏ finish my morning shower ᴡith a minimum 60-second blawt oof
icy coldd water, гesulting -she claims – іn a ‘post-shock
    һigh’ aand ‘genuine glow’.

Hmmm. Ӏ find it haqrd to relinquish tһе comfort of a hott
shower ɑnd feel not happy but mutinous as I
step out of the bathhroom shivering.

Weekk fߋur: I stand in thee flower bed

Ι doo it iin ɑ flower bed іn my shared patio, stіll in mʏ
pyjamas, ɑnd feel, well, very sеlf-conscious. Lɑter I
graduate to the park, and -ⅼook away noѡ – tread inn dog mess, ԝhich Ԁoes not improve my emotional wellbeing.

Shе aⅼѕo encourages ᥙs tߋ keep a Ϝive Minute Gratitude Journal
    twіce a day. ‘Gratitude іs… а superpower
that improves longevity ɑnd supports tһe immune
    ѕystem,’ ѕhe sayѕ.

I can’t heⅼp but think my better-off mate hаs rather a loot

My scepticism аrߋund gratitude slowly lifts

  39. ANGELA HARTNETT’S BEEF & VEAL MEATBALLS
Meatballs are super-quick to make for a weeknight supper and there are many ways to serve them (see tip).

The veal in these gives a lightness to the result, but
you can swap it out for all beef, or flavourful pork mince.
This is a good way to use up any day-old bread hanging around.
The recipe is easy to double up on and freeze so you have
    a meal for an emergency.

    SERVES 4

4 tbsp olive oil, plus extra for the onion

    1 onion, finely chopped

    2 garlic cloves, chopped

    400g tin chopped tomatoes

200g white bread (day old, if possible)

whole milk (enough to soak the bread)

    500g beef mince

    250g English veal mince

2 tbsp finely grated parmesan, plus extra to serve

    4 anchovies, finely chopped

    2 tbsp chopped flat-leaf parsley

salt and freshly ground black pepper

350g dried spaghetti, to serve (optional; see tip)

1 First make a tomato sauce. In a saucepan, heat a dash of olive oil over a medium heat, then add
half the chopped onion and half the garlic,
then sauté for 10 minutes to soften. Add the tomatoes and when the liquid starts to bubble,
reduce to a simmer and leave to cook, stirring occasionally (about 20 minutes,
to create a thick sauce), while you make the meatballs.

2 In a bowl, soak the bread in the milk until soft. In another bowl, mix
the beef, veal, parmesan, anchovies, half the parsley and the rest of the onions and garlic.

Then add the soaked bread, lightly squeezing any excess milk
from it first. Mix well and season with salt and pepper.
Mould the mixture into 12-14 meatballs.

3 Put the 4 tablespoons of olive oil in a large frying pan over a medium heat.
When hot, add the meatballs, turning (for about 5 minutes) to ensure they colour all over.

If necessary, cook in batches so they are not all squashed together,
setting each batch aside on a plate while you
    cook the remainder.

4 To finish, remove the meatballs from the pan and set aside.
Pour the tomato sauce into the frying pan over a medium heat.
Put the meatballs back into the pan for a further
4-5 minutes to cook through. Sprinkle with the remaining parsley before serving.

TIP You can serve the meatballs as they come, or on top of spaghetti.
If you would prefer the latter, cook the pasta according to the packet instructions
until al dente. Drain it in a colander, reserving a cupful of the cooking water to loosen the meatball sauce if necessary, and then transfer it back to the pan and toss it with a little
olive oil and butter. Put the spaghetti on a serving plate and top with the meatballs and sauce.

Finish with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of parmesan.

  45. Abbie Chatfield has shared a very telling throwback image of
herself and boyfriend Adam Hyde, six months before they went Instagram Official.

The veteran presenter, 29, and the Peking Duk frontman went public with their relationship
    in June.

However another racy photo, taken before they became a couple,
captured Abbie and Adam waiting patiently together in a fast food line, with the presenter looking
absolutely smitten over the strapping musician.

Abbie had a huge smile on her face in the adorable picture, as she gazed intensely at Adam as they
    chatted while waiting to order.

She captioned the picture: ‘One year and two days since this
iconic photo of me being in love with Adam.

‘Before we ever even slept together LMAO. “Nah, I don’t have a crush on him anymore”.’

Abbie Chatfield has shared a very telling throwback image of
her and her boyfriend Adam Hyde, six months before they went Instagram Official.
    Both pictured

The podcast host was braless in the image, and her low-slung
    skirt showed plenty of skin.

Shortly after they went public with their relationship, Abbie opened up about her sex life
with her boyfriend in a candid and wide-ranging chat on her It’s A
    Lot podcast.

She appeared on the bonus Ask Me Anything episode with Adam, in which they discussed their budding romance.

As the new couple fielded questions about their bond, musician Adam cheekily boasted about the couple’s sizzling chemistry.

It comes after Abbie revealed the sexual act she would
never engage in with her boyfriend.

She recently opened up about the launch of her ‘kink kit’ sex toys and admitted when it comes to bedroom fun, it’s strictly a two-person affair.

The veteran presenter, 29, whose relationship with the Peking Duk
frontman went public in June, posted a loved-up image of them to Instagram from November last year. The
photo captured Abbie and Adam waiting patiently together, with
    the presenter looking smitten

While she does fantasise about having a ménage à trois, Abbie admitted
it’s something she could never actually go through with.

‘I have a fantasy about seeing my partner f*** someone else,’ she told News Corp.

‘But I think I know in my heart that I don’t actually want to see it.
I just want to talk about it like, that’s something that I find hot.
But in reality, would I want to see that? Probably not.’

‘Whenever we get to a point where we’re like, “let’s have a threesome!”,
I’m like, “I don’t actually know if I’m gonna want to see that”,’ she continued.

Abbie and Adam’s relationship is stronger than ever since theyu went public in June

However, a Live Nation spokesperson confirmed: ‘There is no 2025 tour
    planned.’

The Sun reports that Lady Gaga will instead tour in 2026.

It comes as the hitmaker is set to release her new song Disease on Friday, as the first

Joker: Folie À Deux is branded ‘bleak’ and the ‘most disappointing follow-up’ by critics

Variety reported the Grammy winner’s label Universal Music put out pre-saves for the forthcoming single, with links
to Spotify and Apple Music, on Monday.

Lady Gaga also made public a Spotify playlist in which her letters in her songs spelled out the phrase ‘Gaga Disease,’ according to the outlet.

The Star is Born actress also shared a photo of what appeared to be her figure splayed across the front of a car with
the phrase ‘Disease’ painted on the street, and a series of dates, times and cities.

    comeback.

The singer, whose hits include Bad Romance, Born This Way, Just Dance
and Poker Face, is headed back to her pop persona following the September release
of her album Harlequin, which was inspired by her film,
    Joker: Folie à Deux.

Among the tracks on the album included two new songs, and
standards such as That’s Entertainment, That’s Life and Get Happy.

Like the film, it was not an initial commercial success, marking
her lowest ever entry for a full-length record
on the Billboard 200 charts at number 20.

Joker: Folie à Deux saw Lady Gaga play Harley Quinn opposite Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker, who earned
the Best Actor Oscar for his performance in the franchise’s 2019 film

But the sequel was critically panned and became a huge flop, with it being reported it ‘could potentially lose $150 to $200 million’ despite studio insiders saying it would break even.

The Warner Bros. film has made $192.2 million worldwide, with $56.6 million in domestic box office
revenue, according to Box Office Mojo.

Some fans have said that despite the film’s initial failure financially and with critics, it
will be looked upon favorably years from now.

Lady Gaga has had some commercial success in recent months with her pairing with Bruno Mars on Die With a Smile,
which was released in August, landing in the third spot
    on Billboard’s Hot 100.

In 2020, she put out the studio album Chromatica,

  59. An invitation to lunch at Caviar Kaspia was, once upon a time, an offer you simply didn’t refuse.
Providing, of course, that the bill was on someone else.
Because caviar, smeared on blinis or piled high on baked potatoes, sure didn’t
come cheap. There may have been other things on the menu, but no one paid them much heed.

This was all about lashings of the black stuff.

Caviar Kaspia’s signature baked potato and caviar: ‘there are few
better dishes on earth…only the price, at just under £150, is ridiculous’

Caviar Kaspia popped her final tin about two decades back. And
that site, hidden down a smart Mayfair mews, was taken over by Gavin Rankin (who used to be the boss), and transformed into the brilliant Bellamy’s.

It prospers to this day. Kaspia, on the other hand, went quiet.

Until last year, when she reopened as a members’
club in another Mayfair backstreet. But a £2,000 a
year membership fee proved hard to swallow,
meaning the doors were opened to the great unwashed.

Which is how we find ourselves sitting in a rather handsome – albeit
near empty – dining room, lusciously lavish, under the stern gaze of
a stern painting of a very stern man. The soft, crepuscular
gloom is broken up by the glare of table lamps, indecorously bright, while a loud
soundtrack of indolent, indeterminate beats throbs in the background.
The whole place is scented with gilded ennui.

Our fellow diners are two young South Korean women of pale, luminescent beauty, clad
in diaphanous couture. They don’t speak, rather communicate
entirely via camera phone. Pose, click, check, filter, post.
Immaculate waiters hover in the shadows.

We sip ice-cold vodka, and eat a £77 caviar and smoked-salmon Kaspia croque monsieur that tastes far better than it ought to.
Next door, a large table fills with a glut of the noisily, glossily
    confident.

We’re looked after by a wonderful French lady of such effervescent charm and charisma that had
she burst into an impromptu performance of ‘Willkommen’, we would have barely blinked.
Baked potatoes, skin as crisp as parchment, insides whipped
savagely hard with butter and sour cream, are a study in tuber art.
A cool jet-black splodge of oscietra caviar, gently
saline, raises them to the sublime. Only the price, at just under £150 each, is ridiculous.
But there are few better dishes on earth. I’d eat this every day if I could.

But I can’t. Obviously. That’s the problem with caviar.

    One taste is never enough.

Joaquin Phoenix’s wife Rooney Mara blushed as he fixed her dress on the red carpet at Academy Museum Gala in LA on Saturday.

For the star-studded affair located at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, Rooney, 39, joined her
    dashing husband Joaquin, 49.

The couple – who ‘secretly wed’ recently – looked happier than ever as they posed for sweet snaps on the carpet.

Rooney looked out of this world as she slipped into a floral sheer
dress and flashed her underwear underneath.

The glitzy gala had no shortage of A-list star power as
they were also joined by the likes of supermodel Kendall Jenner as well as fan-favorite actress and
    newly minted billionaire Selena Gomez.

Joaquin Phoenix’s, 49, wife Rooney Mara, 39, blushed as he fixed her dress
on the red carpet at Academy Museum Gala in LA
    on Saturday

Rooney and Joaquin shared a sweet red carpet moment

Joaquin just confirmed Rooney (born Patricia) was his ‘wife’ during
an episode of Sam Fragaso’s podcast Talk Easy, last month.

Mara welcomed their second child in June, and she
dressed her post-baby body gorgeous sheer gown.

Phoenix (born Bottom) and the two-time Oscar nominee are also parents of four-year-old son River Mara Phoenix named after Joaquin’s big brother who died, age 23, from an overdose of morphine and cocaine on Halloween 1993.

‘I love it. I love it so much. I think it’s the best thing in the world,’ Rooney gushed of motherhood on the LaunchLeft Podcast last year.

‘It doesn’t feel like a two-actor house because I didn’t work for the
first three and a half years we were together.

Basically since we’ve been together, I only worked
one or two times and one was really small and short.
It feels like a creative household, we’re constantly talking about creative
    things.’

The Phoenixes originally met in 2012 playing lovers Theodore Twombly and Catherine Klausen on the LA set of
Spike Jonze’s AI rom-com Her, but they didn’t start dating until
after her 2016 split from her Discovery director Charlie McDowell.

The acting couple went on to co-star in Garth Davis’ 2018 Biblical drama Mary Magdalene and Gus Van Sant’s 2018 comedy Don’t
Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot.

  70. The in-laws of former Syrian President Bashar Al Assad have fled the UK and are believed to be in Moscow, their neighbours and
    friends have told MailOnline.

Fawaz Akhras, a renowned cardiologist, and Sahar Akhras, a retired diplomat, are the parents of Asma Al Assad,
who married the deposed Syrian dictator in 2000 when he was studying in London.

The couple live in a smart, modest home in North Acton, west London where they raised Asma before she went on to live
a life of opulence as the Syrian First Lady while her husband waged a campaign of terror to suppress
    his political opponents.

The owner of a Syrian supermarket in Acton, who knows Mr Akhras but did not wish to
be named told MailOnline: ‘I saw him about ten days ago and
he said he was going abroad for a while and that his wife was already out
    of the country.

‘He didn’t say where but there is a large Syrian community in Acton and the word is that he and his wife have gone to Moscow
to console their daughter and son-in-law.

‘It doesn’t surprise us because they are a close family and they’ve always supported their daughter.’

One neighbour, who has known the family for 30 years but did not want to
reveal her name, said that the property had been empty for the past
week and that Mr Akhras and his wife have likely flown to Russia to meet their daughter and her family.

She added: ‘The house is empty and we’ve heard that they are
abroad. They are usually around but keep a low profile because there are a lot of Syrians living around here.’

The Kremlin has confirmed that Al Assad, Asma and their three children were given asylum on the direct orders of Vladimir Putin after fleeing Syria.

The west London suburb of Acton has one of the capital’s largest Syrian communities and many had gathered in a local coffee shop to discuss events in the country.

One man, Tariq, said: ‘We all know that Asma’s parents
live in Acton, but we don’t bother them because it’s not their fault that their son in law was such a brutal tyrant.

And we also don’t want to do anything illegal in this country.

‘We’ve heard that they have left the UK for now, partly
for their own safety and because they want to be with their daughter.’

Meanwhile Abdel, who said that his father knows Mr Akhras, added: ‘He (Mr Akhras) and his wife are not in the UK.
They’re probably with their daughter comforting her and helping to spend all
the money they’ve stolen from the Syrian people.’

Mr and Mrs Akhras raised their daughter Asma in their terraced house, which
    is worth £1million today.

Born in 1975, Asma enjoyed a gilded childhood before carving out a successful career in international banking.

On the face of it, she was destined for a glamorous career, having
been raised by her hard-working Syrian parents.

For years Asma was the face of female liberation in the Middle East; with her successful career in banking and her secular British
    upbringing

As a child, she was enrolled at a prestigious public school, Queen’s College, Marylebone, where fees
are almost £9,000 a term before graduating
at King’s College London in 1996 with a degree in computer science
    and French literature.

Not even Asma, who was known simply as ‘Emma’ by friends at school, could
have imagined that she would go on to marry an authoritarian president who would rule over
Syria with an iron fist. She was later branded the ‘First
    Lady of Hell’ herself.

How the British-born wife of Bashar al-Assad became a key figure in his tyrannical regime

It was during the 90s in London that she grew close to future President Bashar al Assad, who had moved to the capital in 1992 to train as an eye doctor.

But two years later, his own ambitions to break into the medical
profession in London were stalled as his elder brother died
in a car crash and he was suddenly propelled to being the heir apparent for his father Hafez,
who had ruled over Syria since 1971.

The London student, more interested in technology and medicine, was called
    back home.

And after fast-track military training, rising from captain to colonel in three years, Bashar was
    ready to succeed his father.

When Hafez died in June 2000, Bashar kept the Assad dynasty going, winning 97 per cent
of the vote and taking over as president.

Asma’s banking career, which started at major companies
including Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan, was dramatically put on hold as she embarked on a new life, marrying Bashar
the same year he came to power.

Her seemingly ‘normal’ upbringing had taken a fatal turn after her husband’s ‘accidental’ rise to presidency
    transformed her life forever.

The couple have three children, who are aged between 19 and 23,
and are presumed to be with their parents trying to find a

Asma, who holds dual citizenship, British and Syrian, was born in London in 1975.

Her parents, both Sunni Muslims, moved from Syria to London in the Fifties so that her father, a cardiologist at the Cromwell Hospital and
in Harley Street, could get the best possible education and medical training.

Inside Bashar al-Assad’s rise to Syrian president: From London eye doctor to brutal dictator

She was first educated at a Church of England school in Ealing before attending Queen’s College, Harley Street.

The former president and first lady, whose 24-year dynasty came
crashing down when Syrian rebel forces stormed
the country, have three children who are aged
    between 19 and 23.

At Queen’s College — alma mater of heiress Christina Onassis, broadcaster
Emma Freud and celebutante Peaches Geldof — the girl fated to become a president’s wife was said
to have often ‘bunked off lessons’.

Queen’s girls are known for their tendency to frequent the nearby
shops of Oxford Street in break time – and it seems Asma
    was no exception.

A former pupil once said: ‘Like Peaches Geldof, they are mouthy and precocious, or outspoken and
opinionated, depending how you look at it. No shrinking violets there.’

Another said: ‘The girls are concerned about global poverty,
but they also love designer handbags.’

From Queen’s, where she achieved four A-levels,
Asma went to King’s College London to read Computer
Science and take a diploma in French Literature.

She graduated with a First and, after six months of travelling, joined Deutsche Bank as an analyst in hedge-fund management.

She then moved to the investment bank JP Morgan and worked in Paris and
New York, as well as London. On family holidays back in Syria, she met Bashar.

Then he, too, came to London to study ophthalmology, though he had to leave early
to return to Syria after his elder brother’s death.

Asma started seeing him in secret, resigning from JP Morgan just a month before the wedding without being able to explain the real reason.

As she told American Vogue, her boss couldn’t believe her timing, as she quit after closing a major deal and two
months before her bonus was due.

She said: ‘He thought I was having a nervous breakdown because
nobody quits two months before bonus-time after closing a
    really big deal.

‘He couldn’t accept my resignation. I was like: ‘Please,
I just want to get out, I’ve had enough.’ And he [said]: ‘Don’t
worry, take time off, it happens to the best of
    us.’ ‘

After their wedding in December 2000, Asma told
The Observer that she spent the first weeks of her marriage travelling around

she could ‘meet ordinary Syrians before the
    world met her’.

Before the outbreak of the civil war in Syria in March 2011, the first lady had projected an image of a reformer. For years, she was was
the face of female liberation in the Middle East.

In February 2011, Vogue magazine called an interview with
her ‘A Rose in the Desert’ describing her as the ‘freshest and
    most magnetic of first ladies’.

But that year, war broke out in Syria between rebels and
Assad’s regime over his brutally repressive regime and the reputation of the
country as open and secular was trashed.

The gushing profile, published as Assad began terrorising his own people, was met with a wave
of criticism and both Buck and Vogue’s editor, Anna Wintour, were accused of pushing a
public relations campaign on the regime’s behalf, reported The Guardian.

In June 2012, Wintour issued a statement about the feature, saying,
via The New York Times: ‘Like many at that time, we were hopeful that the Assad regime would
be open to a more progressive society.

‘Subsequent to our interview, as the terrible events of the past year and a half unfolded in Syria, it became clear that its priorities and values were completely at
    odds with those of Vogue.

‘The escalating atrocities in Syria are unconscionable and we deplore the actions of the Assad regime in the strongest possible terms.’

During the conflict the couple are understood to have drifted apart, but
with Assad’s mother dying in 2016 and Mrs Assad’s diagnosis of breast
cancer in 2018, she was repositioned at the heart of the regime’s economy.

But this new role was nothing more than a ‘shakedown’ operation of the country’s middle
    class merchants and businessmen.

She orchestrated a secretive labyrinth of committees and policies,
run by her henchman, which controlled everything from access to the internet to
    subsided food rations.

Her empire also extended to the distribution of foreign aid – effectively
she controlled who got what when

With rumours swirling that she and her husband are seeking haven in despotic regimes such as Russia and Iran, her once
gilded facade has been torn asunder utterly

Her empire also extended to the distribution of foreign aid – effectively she controlled
    who got what when.

With her role within Assad’s dictatorship growing, she was unable to maintain her early image of the liberated woman operating
at the heart of power in a Muslim country.

She became one and the same with the Syrian regime’s terrible suppression of its
    people.

But as pressure mounted on the oppression of the Syrian people, even Vogue pulled
its interview with her from its website in 2012 after public backlash to the war.

Despite the challenges to her public image, she was still seen on the international stage meeting with the heads of state in Europe.

But Assad’s forces have clung to power until now, thanks to opposition forces reaching Damascus and
recapturing areas on the outskirts of the capital following a years-long
    siege.

The regime has been accused of severe human rights
violations and cruel assaults against civilians throughout the 13-year civil war, including the use
of chemical weapons against their own people.

President Assad, his wife, and their three children have been driven out of Syria, leaving their presidential palace to begin a new life in Russia after being granted asylum by Vladimir Putin.

Ms Al-Assad has become accustomed to a life of luxury, with reports that she spent
hundreds of thousands of dollars on home furnishings and clothes during
    her husband’s reign of terror.

The US state department estimates that the family are worth
$2billion, with their wealth concealed in numerous accounts,
shell companies, offshore tax havens and real estate portfolios.

Now they are likely to draw on their family connections
and extensive assets in Moscow in the hope of keeping up their comfortable lifestyle
    in exile.

The Syrian dictator’s extended family bought up at least
20 Moscow apartments worth more than £30million in recent years, illustrating Russia’s status as a safe haven for the clan.

The Kremlin today confirmed that the family was given asylum
on the direct orders of Putin.

Moscow disclosed no further details, with presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov telling reporters today:
‘We have nothing to say about Assad’s whereabouts.’

Sept 28 (Reuters) – Philip Morris International on Thursday said it would be filing
a premarket tobacco product application (PMTA) in the United States for its IQOS ILUMA product in October.

The company at its investor day said that while the PMTA timeline remains “hard to predict”,
it expects the launch of the ILUMA heated tobacco units towards the second half of
its three-year forecast period of 2024 to 2026.

IQOS heats up packets of ground tobacco but does
not burn them, a process the company says potentially
results in fewer health risks than traditional smoking

A PMTA is required to sell new tobacco products in the United States, with manufacturers required to provide scientific
data demonstrating a product is appropriate for the protection of public health.
