The Rector, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun state, Dr. Adeoye Odedeji has stated that the polytechnic will begin to award Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech).

The Rector stated this on Tuesday at the 3rd Annual Retreat, Organized by Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (ASUP), MAPOLY chapter.

Odedeji noted that the polytechnic will award the Degree certificate programme without affiliating with other university.

He added that, the High Impact TETFUND Intervention of about 1billion naira would be accessible by the polytechnic before the end of the year.

He therefore, implored the staff to work relentlessly in achieving the core value of the new MAPOLY, urging them to work in unity.

“We will begin to Award Bachelor of Technology without affiliating to anybody. We can stand on our own. If our effort are disjointed that means our value is over”.

Meanwhile, the ASUP Chairman, Babatunde Osifalujo Chibuzor commended the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for paying the backlog of arrears and December, 2019 salaries.

Osifalujo assured the Polytechnic management of the academic staff support in line with the objectives of the new MAPOLY.
