An unnamed woman in Sapele, Delta State, has reportedly lost her life after a two-month dry fasting.
Eyewitnesses said that the incident happened along MTN Road, Okirigwhere in Sapele.
It was gathered that the woman, her husband, son, and a friend locked themselves inside the house for two months to complete the 60-day fasting.
Our correspondent gathered that a family friend allegedly initiated the fasting which they later joined.
Onovwakpoyeya, however, assured that investigations would be intensified in that direction.
However, Sapele Oghenek who confirmed the incident, wrote:
“* One Family for Sapele here for MTN Road, Okirigwhere embarked on 2 Months Dry Fasting and the wife die during the process*
“A family of Husband, Wife, Son and Friend wey lock themselves for inside house for about 2 months, na today nai neighbours just dey discover say one of dem (the wife) don die. The pikin don lean like broom as e say na so so water dem dey drink for about 2 months now. The friend wey dey house with dem for since December say dem dey fast. This issue happen today for No 15, G-Class House, MTN Road, Okirigwhere, Sapele.

“The lean boy wey he picture appear under this update so, he fat full ground before. If e dey waka, ground dey shake. Na this friend wey come follow dem stay so, nai initiate the dry fasting for this family wey take the life of the wife so.
